Is it true that Minister of Information Ali Abdu is seeking asylum in Canada?

By now it is common knowledge in Eritrea that his wife sought asylum in Canada a few years ago, and subsequently gave birth to their child in the U.S. so that he could become a U.S. citizen. But it would be quite a surprise if this loyal PFDJ spokesman was joining the thousands who have defected...but you never know what will come next out of this country.
